Charley Harper

I framed a Charley Harper print for the wall above the crib.

And because I'm on a craft/nesting kick… I made some matching Crib Bumpers too.
Kind of a lodge theme going on. I love the clearance fabric I found and the colors
are so beautiful with the white and dark wood contrast of the crib.

excuse the grainy iphone shots. better pics to come.

love these prints! thanks for introducing me Mom!

I have been going crazy sewing these days… so more to come on those projects soon!

Only a couple more weeks to go before I am off for 12 weeks.
I'm looking forward to time at home with the girls and getting everything
organized for the little man's arrival!

purl bee does it again.

Most of the projects that The Purl Bee posts I want to make.
This latest one is no exception.

I think it would be so cute hanging on the wall above the crib.

Where would you put yours?

Celebration Decoration

I am having way too much recycling/reusing items around my house. I took an old Portland Mercury... cut out triangles and machine stitched them to some bias tape. Now I have a cute little flag garland that made use of an old paper that would have just gone to the trash... or in my house the the recycle bin.

When you're broke...

... and have no inspiration in your closet what do you do? You grab your stash fabric and SEW! I did a little internet surfing on forever 21 and anthropologie before i grabbed the scissors. I decided to make a high wasted skirt and add belt loops. At the time I wasn't sure if I would use a belt or sash. But when I walked out the door for the concert that night... sash it was.

More picks of the skirt here.
