Celebration Decoration

I am having way too much recycling/reusing items around my house. I took an old Portland Mercury... cut out triangles and machine stitched them to some bias tape. Now I have a cute little flag garland that made use of an old paper that would have just gone to the trash... or in my house the the recycle bin.

Posies for your hair!

I used old newspapers and magazines yesterday to create little hair accessories. The paper I sealed so that it wouldn't fall apart if you had to head outside in the rain. Then i hand felted a little ball for the center and attached the whole thing to a bobby pin. They are so fun to make and even more fun wear!
