Another Wee Baby Sweater

This one fit the little guy as a newborn.
It's super tinny and I just love it!

There are little 4 stitch cables everywhere.
On the top of the sleeves...
down the placket...
under the sleeves...
down the back.

Too many you say!?
Can you really have too many cables people?
I think not!

Designed By: me
Yarn: Sock Stash (can't remember brand)
Needles: US5

thank you namaste,
a bag for everything...

uses:
diaper bag
knitting bag
purse
weekend bag
hold snacks bag
organize bills bag
sock organizer...

this olive is my fav color

but orange is a close second!

ok, the last few were pretty desperate attempts to justify this purchase.
*blush*

But at the least it would make a great catch all for when the baby gets here...
wallet, diapers, snacks, knitting.

Then again Target has a great clearance rack of bags...
that would probably be more responsible.

Earflap hat...
to match the previous baby sweater I posted.

I'm on a roll folks...
can't stop knitting mini things...

and this is why...

ps. it's a boy!

test knitters?

I am in the process of releasing some baby/toddler patterns.
So far I have 3 to send out for test knitting with more to come.

I will provide the yarn if you can provide the shipping back to me and your time.
After the item is modeled and photographed I will send it back along
with the final professionally printed pattern and a special thank you gift.

If you are interested or have questions regarding this process
please email me.

Thank you so much!

Ali's Wedding Shrug

I had posted in February about the Wedding shrug
that Ali, my sister's friend, ordered for her big day.

But I had not posted the pictures she sent me yet...

so here they are.

I think the color she picked was beautiful with her stark white dress.
She made my pattern look so beautiful!

Thank you Ali & Congratulations!

I knit this 1 lonely mitt for my Dad the Christmas of 2008.

Larus + Ardea by Spinnity

Yep... that's right. 2008.

And I never the knit the second one.
What a horrible daughter I am!

So last night I pulled out the 2nd one that I had already started and
I'm on a mission to get him a finished set in the next couple of weeks.

I really do love this pattern. It taught me the technique of
(which i'll have to re teach myself considering it's been 2 years)
twined knitting which goes
by the Swedish term "Tvåändsstickning."

Lovely, right? And so fun too!

I'm falling back in love my yarn choice!
This pattern looks even more intricate in Noro yarn
because of all the subtle color changes.
I'm really excited to get going on these again!

3.02.2011

Isn't this lovely?

I have a thing for yellows and oranges I guess.

This pattern looks like it would be really interesting to knit and not be a huge time suck since it's a fairly short wrap.

mamma likes!

What are your favorite wrap patterns?

How funny and fabulous are these tags from Kniterella?

Larch Cardigan by Amy Christoffers

I really want to knit this sweater!
I think I would wear it all the time.

The color and collar reminded me of this design I was
working on in September...

ehem...
that I never finished.... shhh.

2.15.2011

Working on a new pattern... a request from Liv Lu. I'm liking this so much I think I'm going to make this for myself too!

I also finished some cute red fingerless mitts. I'll share that pattern as soon as I nab some photos. They were miss lu's valentine present. Did any of you make any valentine gifts?

My sister's friend requested the reversible shrug to wear over her wedding dress.
I finished it last week and got sneak peek shots from my sis!
I can't wait to see more!

Color: Pigeon - Malabrego Worsted... yummmm.

I'm back... I think...

Goodness gracious it's been awhile, eh?

If you're still following along.... bless your heart

The last few months in a very small nut shell...

Holidays full of fabulous family visits.
My sweet Nana, who taught me to knit, passed away to be with her love.
Website goes down for awhile.
Re-kindle old friendship. (in "paris")
New full time job, yay!
Which means new wake up and after school schedule for Lu and me.
Old roommate moved out.
New Roommate moved in. (yay)
Some knitting.
Some cleaning.
Some cooking.
Some card playing.
Some cuddling with my almost 7year old.
Order a birthday cake.
(Liv's bday is feb. 2nd!)
Website goes back up.
2011 is definitely at a new pace.
But I'm so fabulously happy!

More to come: current knits, pictures, and as always - my random rants as they choose to spew out.

10.21.2010

fall is my fav!

And this (autumn leaves lace stole) is the the perfect fall project to encompass all the reasons' why!

• beautiful yarn in the perfect shade of turning leaves.
• simple, stunning lace leaf pattern.
•light weight but still warm for chilly sunny fall days.

I've been away from the blog for about a week and I missed it! Hope you all are doing well and enjoying every minute of this fabulous October. I sure am! And in personal knitting news... I finished the baby "grandpa" sweater and I just love it!!! I need to nab some buttons or toggles and then it's done. I'll share finished project pics soon.

OK. now go outside and grab 3 of your favorite leaves and put them on your coffee table or dining room table to enjoy inside... they won;t be around much longer so go give'm a hug!
